Refractive Lasik Surgery
LASIK is a surgical procedure intended to reduce a person's dependency on glasses or contact lenses produced by Myopia (nearsightedness), by Hyperopia (farsightedness), or by Astigmatism (distorted vision). LASIK is a procedure that permanently changes the shape of the cornea. Length: 30 seconds Time required to stay in the country: 8 days.
Recovery:
- Back to work: 2 to 3 days.
- More strenuous activities: 2 to 3 weeks with limited exposure to sunlight.
Patient Status: Outpatient. Anesthesia: Numbing eye drops are used. Sometimes an oral medication is used to help with relaxation.
