Nasal Surgery - Rhinoplasty
Cosmetic surgery of the nose to improve the overall appearance. Rhinoplasty can reduce a large, over-projecting nose, lower a hump on the bridge of the nose, elevate a drooping tip, narrow span of nostrils, or change angle between nose and upper lip. Nose surgery can also involve plastic surgery to correct breathing difficulties through the nose which may be caused by a deviated septum or enlarged turbinates. Length: 1 to 2 hours, or longer. Time required to stay in the country 12 days.
Recovery:
- Back to work: 1 to 2 weeks.
- More strenuous activities: 2 to 3 weeks with limited exposure to sunlight.
- Minor swelling may continue for 6 months.
Patient Status: Outpatient, usually. Anesthesia: Local with Sedation - General.
