Upper Arm Lift - Brachioplasty
Upper Arm Lift is a type of Plastic Surgery which removes excess fat and skin from the arms. Because the skin is very mobile in the upper arm it is usually not necessary to undermine extensively. Liposuction is sometimes performed to provide a smooth result. Length of surgery: 1 to 2 hours. Time required to stay in the country: 6 days.
Recovery:
- Back to work: 3 to 4 weeks.
- Activities: Patients will be able to use their hands, but not excert their arms for at least a month.
- Bruising and swelling gone: 6 months.
Patient Status: Outpatient if the Brachioplasty is performed alone. Usually inpatient when combined with other procedures. Anesthesia: Local or General Anesthesia.
