| The Contractor shall perform a full range of Medical Laboratory Technician professional concepts and practices on site, using. Government furnished facility, equipment
and supplies to a variety of patients. Aspects of Medical Laboratory Technician service shall be commensurate with the capabilities of the provider an d the Medical Department including but not
limited to the items listed below: A. Perform Laboratory testing and evaluation including interpretation of the tests in the areas of: . Hematology . Urinalysis . Bacteriology . Chemistry . Special
Chemistry . Blood Bank . Serology B. Prioritize test request in accordance with patient care needs. C. Participate in 12 hours of continuing education per year. D. Demonstrate the ability to
differentiate results of tests, determine the accuracy of the test results, and report discrepancies to the Medical Technologist. E. Performance and action reflects knowledge and abilities to utilize
the laboratory procedures manuals. F. Perform tests in compliance with established departmental standards. G. Review and verify test results to ensure data validity. H. Apply appropriate procedural
techniques related too: . Specimen procurement and processing; . Instrument operation, maintenance and trouble shooting; . Application of universal precautions; . Inventory management and ordering.
I. Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems as they occur. J. Perform and documents quality control procedures and proficiency testing in accordance. K. Work with the Medical
Technologist to resolve quality control, patient or procedural problems, and complex instrumentation issues. L. Participate in the Quality Assurance (QA) program of the clinic. M. Perform other
administrative tasks as may be assigned by the Medical Technologist or the Clinic Administrator. |

The provider of Medical Laboratory Technician services shall posses and maintain for the duration of this agreement. A. A certification from an accredited school of Medical Laboratory Technology
(American Society of Clinical Pathologist or equivalent). Current unrestricted license for the practice Medical Laboratory Technology in one of the 50 states, if applicable, or meets the qualification in the state in which they practice. Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation (CPR) by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Minimum of two years recent (immediately preceding the submission of this offer) clinical experience in providing like
services in the Coast Guard or other military, federal or comparable civilian Medical Laboratory Technician services of the same or similar scope and/or size. E. “ No adverse information on file”
with the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB).
