Responsibilities

The duties for this Full-Time position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Workers shall perform a full range of clinical Mental Health services to include diagnostic examinations, the development of comprehensive treatment/diagnostic plans, outpatient psychotherapeutic treatment for individuals and family therapy with children, adolescents, and adults; stress/anger management, family separation issues, crisis intervention and consultation with medical staff on a routine basis.

 

  • Perform assessments, evaluations, consultations, differential diagnosis, and treatment for all disorders defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (current edition) published by the American Psychiatric Association.

 

  • Provide therapeutic treatment and evaluation of patients in the Family Advocacy Program dealing with domestic violence, physical and sexual abuse, as requested.

 

  • Provide professional assistance to the Substance Abuse Counseling Center (SACC) and their programs to include dependency determinations as requested.

 

  • Provide therapeutic treatment and evaluation of patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Combat Stress Disorders.

 

  • Provide psychological assessment and treatment of individuals confined in the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma Brig, as requested.

 

  • Conduct clinical staff education when requested to enhance knowledge, understanding, and awareness of mental and behavioral health disorders.
Qualifications
  • Possess a minimum of two years postgraduate experience within the last 3 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

 

  • Prefer experience treating combat related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and post deployment combat mental health related issues.

 

  • Shall read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently.

 

  • Health care workers shall possess basic computer skills and competencies.

 

  • HCWs shall be in good standing and under no sanction or suspension by the Federal Government.

 

  • Health care workers shall represent an acceptable malpractice risk to the Government. 

 

  • Health care workers shall be in good standing, and under no restrictions, with the state licensure board in any state in which a license is held or has been held within the last 10 years.
